Analy Fall Festival Info

Hello! The school year is off to a great start and the bands are starting to really sound good.

The Analy Fall Festival is coming up! The date of the festival is Friday, October 24th. The 8th graders perform first with a time commitment from 2:15-4:15, and the 7th graders perform second with a time commitment of 6:30-8:15. I strongly encourage parent attendance for the performances so the audience is more than just the judges.

CMEA Festival Info

Hello and happy (almost) spring!

The CMEA Large Ensemble Festival is going to be held at Santa Rosa High School on Friday/Saturday, March 28/29. The Hillcrest 7th and 8th grade bands will be performing on Friday, March 28th. This, like the Analy Fall Festival, is a great opportunity for the bands to perform for a panel of adjudicators and receive feedback on their performances.

The 8th grade band will leave Hillcrest by bus at 1:45, warmup at 2:20, perform at 2:50, have a sight reading clinic at 3:15, take a photo at 3:40, and return to Hillcrest at approximately 4:15.

The 7th grade band will leave Hillcrest by bus at 3:30, warmup at 4:05, perform at 4:30, have a sight reading clinic at 4:55, take a photo at 5:20, and return to Hillcrest at approximately 6pm.

Please have your students bring their concert clothes (black pants/shoes/socks, white long sleeve collared shirt) to school on the day of the performance so they can change into them before the bus departs.

The performance is open to the public. I highly encourage parents, friends, and families to attend the performances so the students have somebody to perform for aside form the adjudicators.

Parents: Please contact me if you are able to help out during the day with bowties/cummerbunds and/or traveling with the students on the bus.

Permission slips will be going home on Monday, the 24th and will be due Friday, the 28th.

Have a great Spring Break!
